About Paul
Paul Lyons is a San Francisco based web designer and programmer with over 13 years of experience building web sites and web applications. After getting a start during the dot-com boom of the late 1990s, working on projects for the likes of Cisco and Providian Financial as well as various dot-com fiascos, I then worked at Monster Cable as the webmaster for six years. At Monster Cable I honed my skills with web design, SQL, stored procedures and cursors, data integrations, JavaScript, classic ASP, Flash, marketing and writing for the web.
After a Guatemala haitus is 2006, where I took care of kids, did freelance web development, refined my third world cooking skills and blogged extensively, I returned to San Francisco. From 2007 to 2011 I worked at The Spider, primarily doing backend programming, SQL, e-commerce, .Net, MVC, JavaScript and jQuery, CSS, database integrations, WordPress...
In November of 2011 I started contract work with Monster, aka Monster Cable. Since successful launches of the Monster headphone site, revised Famous Monster sites, various Facebook apps and other web-based tasks I still work at Monster.
